Since the end of the war in Kosovo there have been heated
debates about how many Kosovar Albanians were killed in
the conflict. NATO and the Kosovo Liberation Army push the
numbers up, while the Yugoslav government pushes the numbers
down. The debate is largely irrelevant to the families of
Cuska, Zahac, and Pavljan, as well as to hundreds of other
families throughout Kosovoboth Albanians and Serbs.
For the people who lost friends, neighbors or relatives,
postwar propaganda is like a second abuse.
